Neamt County is a county in the region of Moldova, in northeastern Romania, at the border between the Eastern Carpathians and the Moldavian Plateau. It is known especially for the beauty of the Ceahlau Massif and the landscape in general. The county seat is the city of Piatra Neamt. The area of the county is 5,890 sq. Km. The main water courses: MOLDOVA, Siret (between Doljesti and Secuieni), Bistrita (between Brosteni and Buhusi, Bistricioara, Bicaz, Cracau, Tarcau), the main lakes: Izvoru Muntelui, Pangarati, Vaduri and Batca Doamnei. Maximum: Ocolasu Mare High (M. Ceahlau) 1,907 meters.
