Located in the north-west of Romania, Satu Mare County (4,405 sq. Km) is one of the main gates of Romania, with borders with Hungary and Ukraine. With a temperate continental climate, Satu Mare County was inhabited by more than 100,000 years BC, people living on the high terraces of the Oas Valley (Remetea-Oaş, Boineşti, Călineşti-Oaş etc.).
