Harlau Harlau is a city in the county of Iasi, Moldova, Romania, made up of the Harlau (residence) component, and the village of Parcovaci. The city is located in the north-west of Iasi County, on the bank of Bahlui. It is crossed by the national road DN28B, which connects the Botosani Iasi. At Harlau, the county road DJ281A, which serves the village of Deleni, branches from this road. At Harlau there is the end of the railway line Podu Iloaiei-Harlau, on which passenger trains run to Iasi. According to the 2011 census, the population of Harlau is 10,905, down from the previous census in 2002, when it registered 11,268 inhabitants. [1] Most of the inhabitants are Romani (85.98%), with a minority of Roma (5.78%). For 8.18% of the population, ethnicity is unknown.
