The Dolhasca town presents a harmonious combination of all forms of relief, ranging from ravines and forests scattered to hills covered with secular forests. Dolhasca is a locality with a new status on the map of Suceava County since April 2004, a newly established city by the unanimous will of the inhabitants who participated in the re-organized event on this occasion. It is located in the south-eastern exterem of Suceava County, being a crossing point and communication between the three Moldavian counties: Iasi, Botosani and Suceava.
With a population of over 11,009 inhabitants, 50 economic agents, 14 educational institutions with 7 adjacent villages occupying an area of over 11,035 ha, out of which over 5,600 ha of agricultural land, the rest being occupied by forest vegetation, the locality enters the second largest city in the county. The settlement is crossed by the waters of two important rivers: the Siret River and the Somulu Mare River, which unite in a confluence on its territory, conferring climatic conditions favorable to the inhabitants who are mainly concerned with agriculture.
The natural location in a geographic setting that includes almost all forms of relief makes the town of Dolheasca benefit from the reputation of a beautiful settlement. At the same time the town is crossed by three county roads linking the three counties, namely DJ 208, DJ 208A and DJ 208S, as well as a rich network of communal roads that facilitate the access of the locals to other neighboring localities or within them.
